How to Find a Remote Job Today

The COVID-19 crisis has dramatically changed the way we live and work. Employers that once required workers to be on-site from 9 to 5 have embraced remote work, or reluctantly accepted it. In truth, there was little choice in the matter due to state and local regulations to protect public health.

Remote Jobs are Here to Stay

An MIT study found that of those employed before COVID, half are now working from home, including 35% who were previously commuting. The telecommuting trend is likely to continue, even after a vaccine is found.

Companies and industry sectors that are actively hiring remote workers include Banking, Finance, Customer Service.

KeyBank, one of the nation’s largest banks, is among many financial institutions now hiring remote workers because of the pandemic.

"As part of Key’s commitment to help reduce the spread of coronavirus, many of our employees are now working at home to serve you and to keep operations running smoothly," said Chris Gorman, KeyBank Chairman, CEO and President. "Some branches have temporarily closed, and those that remain open will operate as drive-thru and by appointment only." KeyBank now conducts job interviews remotely and new employee on boarding is a virtual process.  Find Remote Jobs at KeyBank

Many companies can not only survive,  but thrive with a remote workforce. Digital industries revolving around cybersecurity, software development, customer service and e-commerce have known this for years. Now other industries are hoping the same can be true for them, now that remote work has become the norm.
