Job Description

The In Store Design Team (ISDT) Operations Manager Pet role will provide supply chain leadership in the execution of industry leading display "special pack" and merchandising capability supporting Pet. This position is accountable for delivering on all scorecard measures: safety, service, cost, innovation, and Holistic Margin Management (HMM) for the 2 main ISDT Pet operations sites in North America. This role will be accountable for direct management of our fulfillment partners and will help drive improved execution and long-term capability in topics such as capital management, zero loss culture, HMM, rate negotiation and contracts, toll administration, quality, monthly scorecards, and standard work. This role also interacts heavily with the entire end to end internal and external ISDT team as well as connects directly with Pet Warehousing and Distribution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Guide daily operations and utilize scorecards for the Pet Special Pack Operations to ensure that service, cost per case, cost savings, and quality standards are met.
  • Partner with key stakeholders internally and externally to deliver best in class display execution: ISDT Planning, Customer Operations, Production Planning, Supply Chain Finance, and external partners. Educate stakeholders and partners on the business model, key strategies, and capabilities.
  • Monitor and drive process improvements with partners through coordination with other work teams, such as warehousing and transportation to realize costs savings and HMM.
  • Provide leadership and analysis for the development and implementation of new capabilities, systems, and operating procedures in accordance with ISDT OGSM or key region/Pet strategies
  • Manage supplier performance through reporting, monitoring, and improving on key performance indicators (Safety, Quality, Cost Per Case (CPC), Donate, damage, capital, HMM, etc); establish annual goals, participate in scorecard meetings, supplier ratings and negotiation


The preferred location for this role is Minneapolis, MN however remote work-at-home applications will be considered

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years + years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in operations management
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mine data and provide value added insights with recommendations.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness, strong organizational & communication skills, and the ability to lead and deliver results in a cross-functional and partnership-oriented team environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo, innovate, problem solve and drive process improvement (continuous improvement mindset)
  • Ability to understand broad picture and implications to shopper, retailer, and supply chain operations
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the business and operational landscape, understanding and balancing business opportunity with financial and service implication
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to conduct training sessions and deliver executive updates.
  • Systems proficiency: SharePoint, SAP
  • Effective negotiation skills
