We offer a competitive salary, generous benefits, unlimited growth potential, and a collegiate work environment.We are looking for an Assistant Dean, Workforce Program to join our team.Responsible for the development and administration of custom academic programs for partnerships with external organizations, including national and local market employment partners, clinical partners, healthcare, and other relevant associations and public/community organizations. Responsible for the program supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program activities. Responsibilities Plans, develops, manages, updates and evaluates all aspects of the workforce program including but not limited to: Workforce program budget Faculty and staff Workforce partnership/organization liaisonDevelopment and engagement with advisory boards to seek industry input on college offerings, directionWork collaboratively with the business development, marketing, legal, compliance teamCurriculum development and implementationProgram compliance with Board rules and regulations; site visitsStudent advocateWorkforce program policies and proceduresDevelop ongoing systematic program evaluation plans, controls, and reporting systems to measure, monitor, report, and demonstrate achievement of student learning outcomes and program outcomes, performance, growth, budget management, etc.Faculty and student handbooks Clinical site liaison Supplies and equipment to meet program objectivesPrepares data and other written materials for all required state, board, nursing accreditation requirements: reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, site visits, substantive changes & notificationsEnsures that all student and faculty records on site are initiated and maintained in all phases of student academic status; works with Human Resources to maintain required documentation of faculty and staff qualificationsAssists with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing programDevelops and implements program policies and procedures.Organizes and serves on program committeesOversees admission process and orientationWrites articulation agreements with nearby colleges detailing accepted course equivalents for the purpose of transferring into Unitek Learning nursing programsEffectively serves as academic liaison between community, college, workforce partners, external organizationsAccepts other duties as indicated to ensure consistency and meeting needs of students and programsEnsures that educational partnerships and contracts with clinical sites are launched and maintainedPerforms and/or delegates a clinical site evaluation that includes a thorough assessment on the ability of the agency to provide Clinical experience that meets the objectives for application of theory and clinical course objectives. The assessment includes an analysis of risk, hazards and safety of all students, as well as ensuring adequate staffing to handle clinical objectives.Meets with specific clinical faculty or agency educational representative to discuss and confirm number of students, faculty assignments, dates, times, clinical rotations, and clinical objectives. Completes and forward any approval forms as required by regulatory agencies and nursing boards prior to initiating clinical rotationsEnsures that evaluations by students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty at completion of each clinical rotation and provides summary report to the Dean, Chief Academic Officer, and shares same with Advisory Committee/Advisory PanelsEnsures the minutes of inter-agency meetings are maintained.Participates in Nursing faculty recruitment, hiring and orientationActively participates and or ensures that nursing faculty meetings are conducted on a regular basis and adequate records and minutes of the meetings are maintainedParticipates in conflict resolution for faculty and studentsParticipate in initiating and maintaining community relationships; advocates for and markets the programs Monitors quality of instruction and participates in faculty and program review, evaluation, and strategic planningMaintains membership and participates in activities of professional associationsInteracts with other college entities as a representative of nursing interests such as counseling, registration and financial aidProvides advising support and degree planning assistance to potential studentsProvides input and ensures that students are properly oriented to nursing skills lab and clinical facilities prior to initiating clinical rotationsManages student appeals and grievances per policyParticipates in the planning and review process for the recruitment and admission of qualified nursing studentsAdvises and provide academic support to nursing students as indicatedAssures that all students have completed the necessary documentation and met the requirements for graduation and licensing examConducts Nursing Advisory Committee/Advisory Board meetings.Student performance in workforce program, NCLEX licensing or certification, and job placement rates Qualifications Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus / workforce development program is locatedA master's or higher degree from an accredited college or University that includes course work in nursing, education or administrationA minimum of two years of experience in an administrative positionA minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs, or a minimum of two years of staff development, or nursing onboarding programs at clinical facilities.At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board of NursingDemonstrated leadership skillsExcellent skills in oral and written communicationsCommitted to diversity, as defined by state law.Exceptional relationship management skillsAbility to work effectively with a wide variety of people and institutionsLeadership style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitationAbility to utilize computer-based resourcesDemonstrated ability to build consensusExperience in supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenanceHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects active at onceComfortable and confident using technology
